Note: Peter Petersson took over family farm in Orserum Mellagard and lived there until 1851, when he moved together with his family to U.S.A. I don't know, but it is possible he wrote to his mother, sister and brother-in-law and persuaded them to come over to America, because in 1853 his sister and brother-in-law, Maria Stina Petersson and Sven Berggren (my 2nd great grandparents) also his mother Maria Johansson (my 3rd great grandmother immegrated to America.
