In the 1875 census under the farm of Olsrud, Balsfjord, Troms, I found this family and the mothers name was shown as Marit Olsdatter born in 1839. It didn't mention that any of the children listed were his or hers only. It showed them as theirs. I don't know if this is a second wife of Jakob Olsen, or the census takers were careless in writing her name. In the Marriage record is showed her name as Berith Sophia Ottesdatter, as in the 1865 census.
