Pedersen (Tonder), Andreas (b. 1685, d. 1743)
Note: Andreas was the Sheriff or Baliff of Senja, Troms in period 1709/1744

Nils Johan Fosli (we share the Tonder line through his wife) He wrote and said the farm name VANG means something like meadow. It is first mentioned in 1350 in a list of property owned by the Tranoy church.

The first user of the farm was Knut Endresen 1567. the first of our family to own the farm was Andreas Pedersen Tonder (Fogd-means sheriff/Balif). Andreas was sheriff of Senja and Troms between 1709/1744. In the registration in 1723 it said: 1 horse, 10 cows, 12 sheep, 12 goats. Andreas was a rich man. He bought alot of properties in Senja island. After his death alot of the property was sold off and split between heirs.

His son Peder succeded to half the estate after his fathers death. Peder owned the farm in the 1769 census. He has a trading ship "JEKT" a big household with many servents. the ship "JEKT" sailed back and forth to Bergin. it carried fish from Troms, and other goods on the return trip.
